If you haven't heard of Fleshlight before then you must be living under a rock. These sex toys for men are the most popular pocket pussy strokers on the market. Molded after numerous female body parts including the vagina, butthole, and even the mouth, these toys are life-like, pleasurable, and can last you a long time if you take good care of them.
One of the best things you can do to increase both your enjoyment and your Fleshlight's durability is to use a whole lot of lubricant. If you are reading this and thinking you donβt really need to use lube, we're gonna stop you right there - lubrication is essential when using a pocket pussy, and we're about to let you know why!

This guide was originally published in October 2022. As part of our yearly quality assessment process (in late 2023), we evaluated every product recommendation to make sure it was up to the standards necessary to make it to this list. Here are some things we took in consideration:
- Feedback on each product throughout 2023.
- Usability and overall comfort of each lubricant for the purpose of masturbation with Fleshlight products.Β
- Overall trends and new emerging products.
- Industry trends and innovation.
To see what we consider the best sex lubes check out our other list. Most of those lubricants would work well with Fleshlight toys too!
Top Reasons to Use Lubricant With Your Fleshlight
-
Using a Fleshlight (and any other sex toy for that matter) feels way better with lubricant - and a lot more lifelike too. Fleshlights are designed to be extremely tight and very textured, and without proper lubrication, this can be uncomfortable. Adding some lube will make the experience much more smooth and enjoyable.
-
If you are looking for the most realistic masturbation experience possible then you really must add lube to your sleeve or Fleshlight Girls toy. Real vaginas self-lubricate in various situations - using lube mimics the body's natural lubrication, taking the realism even further.
-
All the tight pressure and texture can create painful and unpleasant friction that can actually damage your dick if you go in dry. That's right - if you donβt remove the friction from your play then you can cause micro-tears in your penis which causes inflammation and dryness. Ouch!
Regardless of what you may think, the skin of the penis is pretty damn delicate and it can tear very easily. Tears in the skin can cause pain but they also make you more susceptible to infections and contracting STIs if you are playing with others. As such, it pays to take the time to lube up both the toy and yourself. Basically, check yourself before you wreck yourself!
-
You know those micro-tears we just talked about? Well, guess what? Without lubrication, the same thing is going to happen to your Fleshlight. If you donβt lube it up, you will get tears in the toy - that means it is no longer body-safe.
Tears make it a lot easier for the toy to harbor bacteria as it can not be completely sterilized, only cleaned. This makes using it super risky as you may give yourself an infection. Think of lube as your protective barrier against friction tears and the destruction of your toy.
If you weren't convinced about using lube with your Fleshlight before, we're sure you are now!

What Lube Should I Use With My Fleshlight?
This is a great question with a very important answer. You should only ever use water-based lubricant with any toy that is made of soft material - which is most masturbators, including Fleshlights.
The only problem is is, silicone lube and oil-based lubricants will absolutely destroy your toy - these liquids will degrade and weaken the material making it even more susceptible to tears. Silicone and oil are also a lot harder to remove from inside the sleeve, which can be hard enough to clean without any additional difficulties.
To learn more tips and tricks and how to clean your Fleshlight, check out our other articles. Water-based lube does dry out much quicker than silicone and oil, but it can be reactivated (made slippery again) super easily - just rub on some water, or even saliva in a pinch.
Simply spit on where the lube is dried up and the next thing you know, it'll be nice and slick once more. Of course, you can also simply add more lube as and when you need it, to ensure that things stay slippery and amazing throughout your whole play session.
You will also want to decide whether you would rather use a liquid or a gel lubricant.
This is a personal choice and the easiest way to make it is through experience - just give both a try. We always find liquid lube to be a better and more realistic option vs the thick gel which can get messy and sticky quite easily.
Look for water-based lubes as they are safe for all sexual activities. They are usually free of color, taste, and smell, and they don't stain, so anyone can use them. If you have sensitive skin, you should try and avoid parabens, phenoxyethanol, glycerin, proplene glycol, and chlorhexidine if possible. The lube should be easy to clean off (all water-based lube is very easily removable).
You should also consider your skin type so you do not get a lube that will cause irritation or is otherwise harsh on your skin.
Make sure that the lube you choose is not too sticky or tacky. When selecting a lubricant make sure you choose a trusted brand with good reviews.
Always to check the viscosity, or thickness, of the lube. This is also a very personal choice, but it's not always better to use thicker lube as it can get gunky. Make sure that the lube you choose is not too sticky or tacky. When selecting a lubricant make sure you choose a trusted brand with good reviews - such as the lubes featured on this list!

Healthy Vibes Water-Based Sex Lube
Β Price:Β $$$$$ | Formula base: Water-Based |
Available sizes: 8 fl oz, 16 fl oz | TSA Travel Size:Β No |
Sex toy compatible: Yes | Condom compatible: Yes |
Safety Features:Β Paraben-Free,Β Glycerin-Free, Easy to clean, FDA -Approved | Features: Slippery, Thick formula, Extra cushioning, Long-lasting,Β Never gets sticky or tacky, Non-Staining |
Our number 1 lube that we'd recommend using with a Fleshlight in 2024 is none other than Healthy Vibe's original water-based Personal Lubricant. This is a very slick and long-lasting lube, especially for a water-based formula - and its thickness and cushioning nature make it feel amazing when used with a stroker.
Thin lubricants can leave a little to be desired, often drying it far sooner than you'd like - this lube doesn't have that problem. Though it's water-based, the added safe glycerin makes it much thicker and more like a gel, requiring a bit of heat and friction to get going. Once it does though, it's one of the slipperiest water-based lubes we've ever tried - and Healthy Vibes' customers agree.
Thin lubricants can leave a little to be desired, often drying it far sooner than you'd like - this lube doesn't have that problem.
That extra viscosity is what adds a lot of comfortable padding, which really compliments the tight canal of a Fleshlight and makes it feel a lot more realistic than using one on its own, or with a lesser lube.
As it's not silicone or oil-based, it will get tacky after a bit of vigorous use, but it stays slippery for a good while and is nice and easy to reactivate.
The pump-style lid of the bottle is quite useful as it allows you to get a consistent amount of lube with each pump - this is always essentially all the lube you'll need before you have to reapply, as you don't need very much of this lube all at once. This design also helps conserve how much lube you have, as it's impossible to over-squeeze the bottle.
With its water-based formula, it's very easy to clean up once you're done using the lube, and it doesn't leave stains.
It's also free of harsh chemicals, flavorings, and fragrances, making it suitable for those with sensitive skin.
As we mentioned earlier, this water-based lube from Healthy Vibes is far slipperier than most similar lubes, and the thickness of the formula adds lots of welcome padding. It comes in bottles of 8 and 16 fluid ounces, is on the cheaper end of premium lubes, and according to some users it can help you last longer - it's hard to go wrong with this one.

Swiss Navy Water Based Lube
Β Price:Β $$$$ | Formula base:Β Water-Based |
Available sizes: 2 fl oz, 4 fl oz, 8 fl oz, 16 fl oz, 32 fl oz, 1 gallon | TSA Travel Size:Β Yes |
Sex toy compatible:Β Yes | Condom compatible:Β Yes |
Safety Features:Β Hypoallergenic, Has zero smells or any flavor | Features:Β Almost silicone-based levels of slipperiness, Long-lasting, Never gets sticky or tacky |
Swiss Navy's water-based lube is another very popular product that's backed up by a wide variety of reviewers. Even in 2024, the majority of these reviewers are very happy with how the lube fulfills its promise of being super slick. It's actually designed to emulate the slippery smoothness of silicone-based lubes, which is quite something for a water-based lube to attempt.
Thankfully, this lube pretty much succeeds in that quest.
Our testers and customers all report that Swiss Navy has created a water-based lube that just about reaches the levels of slickness that are usually only achievable with silicone.
Is it the exact same? No - but it's a lot closer than what we were expecting and a hell of a lot closer than most water-based formulas.
Another good thing about this lube is that though it gets quite close to the texture of silicone-based lube, it has all the compatibilities and other advantages of water-based lubes, such as being easy to clean up without leaving any stains. Just to clarify, it's compatible with condoms, and of course, sex toys.
As we've mentioned in previous entries, that high degree of slickness is what helps this lube work very well with the tight canals of most Fleshlights. To add to this, we found that you barely need to use any lube - a small amount is all you need to greatly reduce the friction inside a stroker.
The only real area this lube falls noticeably short of the silicone-based products it is trying to emulate is that it doesn't last as long.
This is a bit of a shame but, as we've discussed already, it's inevitable with water-based lube. That's not to say it doesn't last a good while though, just that after some time you'll need to reactivate it.
This lube is available in bottles of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 fluid ounces - and for anyone who's really into it, you can also get an entire gallon. Since a lot of this lube goes a long way, these larger sizes will last you a long time, so you get quite a lot for your money here.
Results From Our Testers
- Very slick and slippery - much more than many water-based lubes
- High level of slickness helps for use with Fleshlights
- Almost gets to the level of silicone-based lube but isn't exactly the same
- You only need to use a small amount of lube at a time, it goes a long way
- Lasts quite a while before getting tacky - it's easy to reactivate though
- Easy to clean - it has this advantage over silicone lube

Fleshlight Fleshlube Water Based Lubricant for Masturbators
Β Price:Β $$$$$ | Formula base:Β Water-Based |
Available sizes: 4 fl oz, 8 fl oz | TSA Travel Size:Β Yes |
Sex toy compatible:Β Yes | Condom compatible:Β Yes |
Safety Features: Paraben-Free, Easy to clean, Dermatologist-tested | Features:Β Designed by Fleshlight, Slippery, Slick, Long-lasting, Never gets sticky or tacky, Non-Staining, MoisturizingΒ |
Coming straight from Fleshlight themselves, you'd certainly expect that they'd know how to make a lube that pairs perfectly with their own range of sex toys. We're glad to report that you'd be absolutely right - here, Fleshlight has brewed up a great product that works very well both with their toys and without, meaning you'll want to use it whenever you can, and not just with a stroker.
Fleshlube also contains glycerin, which helps it achieve the amount of cushioning necessary for use with their sex toy's canals, which are usually on the tighter end.
This is a good decision, as it helps make entry very smooth, and accentuates the heavy texture on the inside of the sleeve, which we found to really add to the pleasure of the experience.
Our customers, as well as our testers, also found that though it has essentially the same composition as any other water-based lube, even those with glycerin, it never reaches the same level of stickiness or stringiness. That's not to say it doesn't dry out after a while, but it stayed slick for longer than we expected and was easy to reactivate.
Its additive-free formula also makes it feel nice on the skin, while also being free of harsh chemicals that give lubes tastes and fragrances. Users did however report that it naturally tastes slightly odd, but not terribly off-putting - make of that what you will! It also contains both aloe vera and vitamin E, making it moisturizing for your skin.
Fleshlight's in-house formula also makes this lube safe to use with latex, condoms, and of course, sex toys.
While this is to be expected from lube designed to be used with a specific brand of toys, it's good for peace of mind, and means you aren't stuck using it with one specific stroker.
Available in bottles of 4 and 8 fluid ounces, this is a Fleshlight lube that really works great with Fleshlights - as it should! Additionally, the Fleshlight name doesn't really add anything to the price tag when compared with the other lubes on this list, so rest assured you aren't forking out extra cash just for a label.
Results From Our Testers
- We were expecting a lube that paired perfectly with a Fleshlight, and were not disappointed
- Very slick and cushioned which really helps when using a stroker
- Lasted a surprisingly long time before getting tacky which is always appreciated
- Still gets tacky but it's easy to reactivate
- Tastes a bit weird but not bad or anything
- Feels good on the skin and is easy to clean

"Great stuff. Very quick delivery, never got a confirmation email on purchase, but I got what I ordered, so no big deal. The lube itself is great, I have tried about 10 other brands and keep going back to this one."

"Surprisingly the best lube I've tried yet. Honestly was super hesitant to buy this at first since it seemed like just another overpriced generic lube that was sold as an add-on by Fleshlight ... after finding it at a better price on here and trying it myself, I can honestly say I am impressed. Definitely is very smooth and silky as they claim, and not NEARLY as sticky or stringy as most other water-based lubes I've tried."

System JO H20 Water-Based Lube
Β Price:Β $$$$ | Formula base:Β Water-Based |
Available sizes: 1 fl oz, 2 fl oz, 4 fl oz, 8 fl oz, 16 fl oz | TSA Travel Size:Β Yes |
Sex toy compatible:Β Yes | Condom compatible:Β Yes |
Safety Features:Β FDA-Approved, Oil-Free, Taste-Free, Fragrance-Free, Hypoallergenic | Features:Β Long-lasting,Β Stain-Free, Completely water-soluble,Β Hydrates and nourishes skin |
This is System Jo's original water-based lube, and in 2024 it comes with a long history of happy customers who praise it for being reliable and premium quality. Though its claim of "enhancing your sense of pleasure like no other water-based lubricant" is pretty lofty, we were very happy with its slipperiness and how long it stays that slippery.
Much like Lynk's lube, though it's water-based, this lube is also surprisingly cushioned, which helps when you're using it with the tight canal of a Fleshlight.
Thankfully, it's compatible with latex and condoms, as well as sex toys, so you're safe to use it with as many Fleshlights as you can.
While it does feel super smooth to the touch, and when you're actually using it during sex, this lube achieves that texture partially through the use of glycerin, a substance that is a little controversial in the world of sex toys and lube. However, all glycerin is FDA-approved, and the specific glycerin found in this lube is actually plant-based which helps make it even safer.
Also making this lube safer is the fact that it's free of oils, flavorings, and fragrances, while also being hypoallergenic.
This is great for peace of mind and makes it a lot easier to slather on as much as possible.
Once again, as it is water-based, after a while of use the water will dry up, making the lube feel tacky and necessitating that it be reactivated with either more lube or a bit of water. While this can affect reviews, it is unavoidable and as such didn't affect our opinion - the lube actually lasts quite a while, which was great to see.
Overall this is a great water-based lube that pairs well with a Fleshlight while also being a good choice for sex of any kind. It's available in bottles of 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 fluid ounces, and is FDA 510(k) approved to guarantee a high level of safety and quality.
Results From Our Testers
- Nice and slippery, lasts a pretty long time
- Gets a little sticky after a while but it's easy to reactivate
- The addition of safe glycerin is good for peace of mind and helps the texture
- Very cushioning when used with Fleshlight
- After some time, the bottle starts to feel a little slimy - the design seems to cause a small bit of leakage
- Feels nice on the skin

Lynk Pleasure Water-Based Sex Lube & Anal Lubricant
Β Price:Β $$$$$ | Formula base:Β Water-Based |
Available sizes: 8 fl oz, 32 fl oz | TSA Travel Size:Β No |
Sex toy compatible:Β Yes | Condom compatible:Β Yes |
Safety Features:Β Paraben-Free, Glycerin-Free, Easy clean up | Features:Β Long-lasting, Non-Staining, Never gets sticky or tacky,Β Extremely soft and slippery |
As of 2024, Lynk Pleasure's water-based sex and anal lube is still one of, if not the most reviewed lubricants on our site - and since it's currently sitting pretty with a 5-star rating, it's clear that a lot of people are big fans of this product. After testing it out, we'd have to agree with them!
This lube is also a certified best-seller due to its high level of quality, and probably partially due to its water-based nature, making it suitable for basically every circumstance you can think of, not just anal as specified by its name.
It actually gets its name from how it's designed to be both very slick and long-lasting, both of which are necessary for anal. However, as we mentioned, these qualities should make it work great for every kind of sex imaginable - and we can confirm that this is the case.
This lube is compatible with latex and condoms, as well as most sex toys, so you really are free to use this lube as you see fit - this makes it perfect for use with a Fleshlight.
There are no harsh chemicals in its formula, and it's also free of numbing agents, ensuring you can safely feel everything you want to feel even if you have sensitive skin.
As is the case with every water-based lube, no matter how long they last, they'll get tacky eventually as the water dries up, and this lube is no exception. There's an easy fix though - just apply another generous helping of lube, or rub on some water. While some users expressed disappointment at this, unfortunately, it's just one of those things that you need to expect with water-based lubes.
Lynk's best-selling lube is fantastic when used for sex with another person, as well as masturbation with or without a Fleshlight - though its simplicity does help you enjoy all the texture of a good stroker's sleeve. It comes in bottles containing 8 fluid ounces and 32 fluid ounces, so it's easy to obtain as much as you need.
Results From Our Testers
- Very slippery, and lasts a decently long time before you need to reactivate
- Really helps you feel all the texture in a Fleshlight's sleeve
- Works well with essentially every kind of sex
- Compatibility with condoms and silicone toys is great
- The range of choice with the bottle sizes is useful
- Nice and easy to clean up
