Sexual Dysfunction Uncovered

Sexual dysfunction is when an individual suffers from a low sex drive or the inability to achieve an orgasm. Sexual dysfunction can occur during various stages of our life for a number of different reasons. Stress is the main causeof sexual dysfunction. It is important to understand why these problems occur so we can take the necessary actions to lead a normal and healthy sex life. Below are some of the common forms of sexual dysfunction and how to deal with them.

Erectile Dysfunction is when a man consistently has trouble maintaining or having an erection. Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, smoking, stress, thepressure to perform, hormone deficiencies and certain medications can cause this form of sexual dysfunction. Viagra is the most popular medication used to treat Erectile Dysfunction. But taking Viagra can cause a number of side effects including headaches, redness of the face and neck and indigestion. These are just a few among many of the side effects you can experience.

Erectile Dysfunction can also be treated without medication using sex toys such as penis pumps and penis enhancers. A Penis pump creates a vacuum which draws blood towards the genitals. Men are more likely to develop an erection in this state. Regular practice with a penis pump; Men can program their bodies to maintain a larger and longer erection while having sexual intercourse. Penis enhancers, creams, and personal lubricant can also do the trick. Personal lubricant and penis enhancers are designed to induce erections and increase arousal. Premature Ejaculation is when a man is able to become erect but will ejaculate far too quickly. A man should be able to maintain his erection long enough to be able to penetrate his partner for a pleasurable sexual experience. Genital desensitizers allow you to maintain an erection for longer and delay ejaculation by dulling sensation in the head of the penis.

A stressful work environment, a hectic familylife and depression can all be reasons for experiencing a low libido. A low sex drive can also be a side effect if you are on certain medications. Sometimes low levels of estrogen or testosterone can be the culprit. Women can go through this phase after giving birth, menopause, major life changes or illnesses. Both partners should be sensitive to each other’s needs and feelings when dealing with low libido. It is very important not to lay blame on the individual suffering from low libido which could cause them to go further into their shell and become depressed.

Medical professionals recommend that couples should gradually engage in sexually driven activities to bring back the passion in the relationship. Schedule sex into your day if that’s what it takes. You may not feel like being intimate with your partner but once you start your body will become aroused and rise up to the level of passion you normally have. Take the effort to make things special. Light some soy candles, put on some seductive music, run a hot bath. Do whatever it is that will relax you and get you in the mood. Don’t feel pressured to have sexual intercourse. You can engage in foreplay, a sensual massage, or reading an erotic story with your partner. The idea is to gradually work up to sexual intercourse and take off the pressure to perform.

Sexual lubricants are a great ally for battling sexual dysfunction. Our genitals need the extra lubrication to relax the muscles and eliminate friction for foreplay and sexual intercourse.Lubricant can also restore the pH of the vagina reducing any risk of infection. Sexual Dysfunction is something everyone will have to deal with at one point or another. It’s how you deal with it that will help you overcome it and continue a satisfying sexual lifestyle.
